ADG Piyush Mordia Reviews Law and Order, Issues Strict Directives
Jaunpur: Additional Director General of Police (ADG), Varanasi Zone, Piyush Mordia visited Jaunpur to review the law-and-order situation in view of Durga Puja, Vijayadashami, and other upcoming festivals. He directed his subordinates to ensure peace and order at all costs, warning that stringent action would be taken against anyone attempting to disrupt harmony.
Speaking to the media, ADG Mordia stated that the police are fully committed to ensuring the peaceful conduct of festivals. “Those trying to disturb law and order or vitiate the atmosphere will not be spared under any circumstances,” he said, adding that appropriate instructions had already been issued to district officials.
He emphasized that solid security arrangements have been put in place for Durga Puja pandals. Furthermore, women police booths have been established in all 28 police stations of the district under the name Mission Shakti Kendras. Female constables have been deployed at these booths to provide a safe and accessible platform for women from villages and towns to voice their concerns without fear or hesitation.
On being asked about protests in different parts of the state over the “I Love Mohammad” slogan, ADG Mordia reiterated that maintaining a peaceful and fear-free environment is the government’s top priority. He assured that the police are fully prepared to take strict and appropriate action against antisocial elements attempting to disturb communal harmony.
