Jaunpur. Under the aegis of Seva Bharati Jaunpur, a mass Kanya Pujan programme was organised at Shri Ram Janaki Temple in Seva Basti Muradganj, in which the girls were considered as Goddess Swaroopa and decorated with their feet Pakhar Tilak and Chunri.
The programme was inaugurated by the chief guest, district president of the department, Dr Subhash Singh, Seva Bharati, district president Anil Gupta, district child work chief Narayan Das, city religion Jagran chief Dharmendra, Sanyojika Suchita Singh and others of the institution paid floral tributes in front of the portrait of Maa Bharati.
After this Pandit Anand Mishra started the work of Shakti Swaroopa Kanya Pujan through proper mantras, in which all the guests, the local people present and mother powers decorated the girls with garlands, chunri, Kumkum vaccine etc. and gave them a lot of gifts etc.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Guest Dr Subhash Singh said that Shakti Swarupa showcases the nine forms of Maa Durga, one woman life cycle, that is why women have the entire power of creation and the universe. Today's women can take the society and the country to unprecedented heights if they recognize their power and strive in a positive direction.
Dr Tej Singh, Chairman of the Department appreciated the work being done by Seva Bharati in the service settlements.
